Improving our introductions

Things on the to-do list:

1. Sit in groups based on the article you chose. No groups with more than four people.
1. Highlight in yellow the hook.
2. Highlight in blue the 5 or 6 sentences about what a majoritarian and counterstory are.
3. Highlight in pink the thesis statement and thesis reasons (2-3) sentences.
4. Highlight in green in the lead out sentence.
2. Now sit next to the partner that I chose for you.
1. Read your hook sentence to your partner.
2. How can you improve it?
3. Tell your partner what personal story you will write about that connects with your article.
4. Now look at your Lead Out sentence. How could you improve it?
